The spinel compound LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 will become a promising cathode material for lithium ion batteries because of its high voltage and good stable cyclability. In synthesizing LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4, secondary phases such as NiO and LixNi1-xO usually exist in the products, which can deteriorate their electrochemical behaviors. |
