Thor announces China expansion
Thor Group Limited is confirming its commitment to the Asia Pacific market with the commissioning of a new facility in Shanghai/China. An 80,000 square metre parcel of land has been acquired in the Shanghai Fine Chemical Industry Park in Jinshan where plans are being drawn up for the USD 30 million site to incorporate offices, laboratories and a manufacturing plant. Production of the bulk of the Group’s major product lines including biocides, flame retardants and ingredients for the cosmetics industry is expected to commence in 2012. The company anticipates an annual production capacity of 30,000 metric tons.
