Cereplast to Introduce Compostables® Resins & Sustainables® Product Line at PLAST 2012
EL SEGUNDO, California -- Cereplast, Inc., one of the leading manufacturers of proprietary biobased, sustainable plastics, announced recently that its subsidiary Cereplast Italia, SpA will participate as an exhibitor at PLAST 2012, an international exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries, taking place May 8-12, 2012 in Milan, Italy.
PLAST is the largest European exhibition of the year that is dedicated to the entire chain of the plastics and rubber industries, including machines, equipment, molds, raw materials, recycled materials, composites, semi-finished and finished products. There will be more than 1,100 exhibitors from 40 countries present and more than 55,000 people are expected to attend. PLAST is sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development, and is also supported by the European Association of Machinery Manufacturers for Plastics and Rubber and by the Union of International Fairs (UFI).
"PLAST 2012 is an important show for us, as it is the largest exhibition of its kind taking place in Europe this year," said Founder, Chairman and CEO of Cereplast, Inc., Frederic Scheer. At PLAST, Cereplast will feature their Cereplast Compostables® resins, which are industrially compostable alternatives to traditional plastics that can be used for single-use disposables and packaging including cups, straws, cutlery and bags. Cereplast will also feature the Cereplast Sustainables® product line, which replace up to 95+% of the petroleum content in conventional plastics and can be used in a range of markets including automotive, consumer goods and electronics, medical supplies, and construction.
