(20) The Fourth Sino-German Symposium on Polymer Science has been successfully organized and held.
Encouraged by the successes of the previous three Sino-German Symposia on Polymer Science (held in 2001, 2003, and 2005), the Department of Macromolecular Science, Fudan University has successfully organized the 4th Sino-German Symposium on Polymer Science in Shanghai from 27 to 31 August 2007. The symposium was sponsored by the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion. And this time the topic of the symposium is focused on "Nanostructured and Functionalized Polymeric Materials". Totally, 13 German professors and 24 Chinese professors from the universities and research institutes in Germany and China were invited to attend this symposium and give an oral presentation for 30 minutes for each speaker. This series of symposia on polymer science provide an effective platform and good opportunity for the research scientists in polymer science area to freely exchange and share their research results and scientific ideas.
