PolymerizationofPPTA(poly(p-phenyleneterephthalamide))isarapidprocessevenatlowtemperature,whichmakesthemolecularweightdistributionofPPTAwider.Inthisarticle,anewmethodisfirstlyemployedinordertonarrowthemolecularweightdistributionbyaddinganon-solvent,n-hexane,tothereactionsystem.Thereactiontimewasthenapparentlyextended,andthetimewhenPPTAprecipitatedfromthesolventwasdelayed.Bothofthosetwoeffectsfinallyresultinahighermolecularweightandnarrowermolecularweightdistribution.
