Inthiswork,theself-assemblyofmixedpoly(tert-butylacrylate)(PtBA)/polystyrene(PS)brushesgraftedon70nmsilicananoparticlesinaselectivepolymermatrixisreported.Weusetransmissionelectronmicroscopy(TEM)tostudyphasemorphologiesofthemixedpolymerbrushesinaPtBAhomopolymersmatrix.WhenthemolecularweightofthePtBAhomopolymermatrixchangesfrom3kDato23kDaand65kDa,thephaseseparationmorphologychangesfromisolatedislandsgraduallytobicontinuous.Thisenvironmentallyresponsivebehaviorisconsistentwiththewet-brushanddry-brushtheoryforblockcopolymer/homopolymerblends.
