Ashear-thinningviscoelasticsolventmodelwasintroducedintomultiparticlecollision(MPC)dynamicssimulationbyusingFENEdumbbells.ThenthepairmotionofcolloidsundersimpleshearflowhasbeenexaminedinbothNewtonianandshear-thinningviscoelasticfluidsbyMPCsimulation.ThesimulationresultssuggestthatthetrajectoriesoftwocolloidsinNewtonianfluidsaredifferentfromthoseinviscoelasticfluids.InNewtonianfluids,open,reversingandclosetrajectoriescanbeobservedbyvaryingtheinertiaeffectofthecolloid.Whileinviscoelasticfluids,openandclosetrajectoriescanbeobserved.Inbothconditions,thetrajectoriesdoshareanumberofsimilaritieswiththestreamlinesaroundonesinglecolloidincorrespondingsolvents.Thissimulationishelpfultounderstandthebehaviorofcolloidsinviscoelasticfluids.
