Thedie-swellratioformeta-aramid(PMIA)solutionswasmeasuredbygravimetricmethod.Theeffectsofextrusionconditionsondie-swellbehaviorofthePMIAsolutionswerestudiedwithrespecttothetemperatureofsolutions,theextrusionpressureandthelength/diameterratio(L/D)ofthedie.Theresultsshowedthatdie-swellratio(B)ofPMIAsolutionsincreasedwithrisingofextrusionpressurefrom0.2MPaand0.6MPa,whileitdecreasedwiththerisingoftemperaturefrom40℃to60℃.Whenpressureandtemperaturewereconstant,die-swellratiowoulddeclinewiththeL/Dratioincreasingfrom1to9.
