Thisstudypreparedaliphaticester/fattyalcoholcompositephasechangematerials(CPCMs)withdifferentmassratiosbymixingthemeachother.Differentialscanningcalorimetries(DSC),thermogravimetricanalysis(TGA)wereusedtodeterminethethermalpropertiesandthermalstabilityofCPCMs.ThethermalanalysisresultsindicatedthatthemeltingandfreezinglatentheatsoftheobjectiveCPCMwere197.2and195.2J/gwiththephasechangetemperaturerangesof33.05~52.10℃and36.95~21.35℃,respectively,andthecorrespondingmassfractionofaliphaticesteris50%.ThedecompositiontemperatureofCPCMis215.3~262.8°C.Inaddition,thenon-isothermalcrystallizationkineticsofCPCMwasstudiedbyDSCatdifferentcoolingrates.ItwasfoundthattheJeziornymodifiedAvramiequationwassuccessfullyusedtodescribethenon-isothermalcrystallizationprocess.Thestudyshowedthatasthecoolingrateincreasing,Zcandtmaxincreasedwhilet1/2decreased.ThevaluesofnofAvramiequationwereallabout2~3,whichindicatedthatthemechanismsofnucleationatdifferentcoolingrateweresimilar.
