Poly(ethylene-vinylalcohol)(EVOH)hasgoodbiocompatibility,hydrophilicityandotherexcellentproperties.Becauseoftheseproperties,EVOHisconsideredtobeanidealmaterialwhichcanbeusedinthefieldofbiomedicalandwatertreatment.Inthisarticle,EVOHwasdissolvedinDMSO.EVOHmembraneswereprepared,whilePEG200wasaddedaspore-causingagent.FT-IRandTGwereusedtoinvestigatethedissolutionofEVOHinDMSO.RheologicalbehaviourofEVOH/DMSOsolutionwasstudiedbymeansoftherheometer.MorphologyofEVOHmembraneswasfeaturedbySEMphotographs.TheresultispreparedforfurtherresearchonEVOHhollowfiberspinning.
