PeryleneandPerylenetetracarboxylicDiimide(PDI)covalentlylinkedtonanoparticlePolyhedralOligomericSilsesquioxanes(POSS)sidechain(POSS-PDI-POSS),havebeenconstructedtofiberlikecrystalsbybisolventphasetransfermethod.ChloroformwasusedasgoodsolventandMethanolasbadsolventforbisolventwithabuffersolutionofchloroformandmethanol2:1.FiberlikecrystalshapesofperyleneandPOSS-PDI-POSSwereformedat0.3(wt%)and0.5(wt%)concentration,respectively.ThefluorescencemicroscopyimagesshowfluorescenceofperyleneandPOSS-PDI-POSSaregreenandorange,respectively.TheX-raydiffraction(XRD)measurementrevealthatthefiberlikecrystalofperyleneformα-phasewhichemitgreenandthemolecularstackingiscontinuous.DuetothesterichindrancenanoparticlePOSS,POSS-PDI-POSSmolecularstackingisdiscontinuous.
