Rapidelectricalheatingcycleinjectionmoldingtechnologycanbeusedtoproducepolymerpartswithnoweldmark,flowmarkandothersurfacedefectsonthepartssurface.Recently,ithasbeengraduallyfoundwideuseinplasticinjectionindustry.Inthispaper,astructureoftherapidelectricalheatingcycleinjectionmoldanditsworkingprocesseswerepresented.Astheproductionefficiencyandthepart’squalityareseriouslyaffectedbythetemperatureofthemoldcavitysurfaceanditsdistributionuniformity,theheattransferprocessofthemoldwasanalyzedbyusing3Dfiniteelementsimulation.Thetransienttemperaturevaluesondifferentplacesofthecavitysurfacewereobtained.Theresultsprovidedtheoreticalguidelinesfortheengineerstoevaluatethelayoutoftheheatingrodsinthemold.
