Inthisstudy,aseriesofbiodegradablealiphatic-aromaticpoly(butylenesuccinate-co-terephthalate)(PBST)copolyestersweresynthesizedthroughthemethodofesterification/polycondensationfromthestartingmaterialsofsuccinicacid,terephathalicacidand1,4-butanediolinthepresenceofdifferentsetsofcatalystsand/orstabilizingagents.ThewhitenessofthepreparedPBSTcopolyesterswereinvestigatedtorevealtheeffectsofcatalystsandstabilizingagentsonthecolorofthesecopolyesters.Theresultsindicatedthatthewhitenessobviouslyelevatedwhenstabilizingagentswereselectedasapartnerofcatalysts.
