簡介：

Tougheningofdiglycidyletherofbisphenol-A(DGEBA)epoxyresinwithcarboxyl-terminatedbutadieneacrylonitrile(CTBN)curedwith4,4’-diaminodiphenylsulphone(DDS)hasbeeninvestigated.AcomparativestudyofFouriertransforminfrared(FTIR)spectrashowedthemodificationasaresultofchemicalreactionsbetweenepoxidegroups,curingagentandCTBN.Satisfactoryimprovementsinimpactstrengthaswellaslapshearstrengthwereobservedinthepreparedblendsystems.Theglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)oftheepoxyresinmatrixwasslightlyreducedowingtotheadditionofCTBN.Thedevelopmentoftwo-phasemorphologyfortheCTBN-modifiedsystemswasevidentfromscanningelectronmicroscope(SEM).Thedispersedrubberphaseshowedahomogenousparticlesizedistribution.ThesizeoftherubberphasedomainsincreasedwithincreasingtheconcentrationofCTBN.
